Habitat for Humanity is opposed to any form of discrimination, exploitation, and abuse. In the design and implementation of programs and policies, we seek always to work without bias, to do no harm, and to eliminate the harm of discrimination, exploitation and abuse.
This is the basis for the formal creation and adoption of Policy 34 - Safeguarding. In order to comply with the Policy, volunteers who volunteers 8+ hours a month have a required online training. For those who had difficulty accessing the training online, we are hosting an in person viewing of the training at the construction warehouse. Those who volunteer less than 8 hours a month with Habitat are welcome to come as well.
Thank you for your help keeping everyone safe as they partner, volunteer, and work for Habitat!
