Want to learn more about the process of building a home? Want to take your volunteering to the next level and lead small groups of volunteers onsite?
Our Task Leaders are committed volunteers who help make sure volunteers have a safe and rewarding time onsite and gain a lot of skills and community in the process.
A year long training, we meet once a month to learn all of our processes from framing to landscaping, doors to siding, hand rails to home repairs. We meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month. No experience is necessary to start! Just a willingness to learn and a desire to help Habitat homeowners!
January: Framing Prep and Framing Day 1 @ construction warehouse
February: Installing Windows and Siding Prep @ construction warehouse
March: Siding Prep @ an active build site
April: Porch Hand Rails @ an active build site
May: Landscaping and Punch List/Interior Finish @ an active build site
June: Mid-year social
July: Framing start in the warehouse
Aug: 8/27 on site at 121 Sturtevant (siding prep)!!
