Opportunities From: Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County

All Shifts are included below. Please look at the time and date to select when you would like to volunteer! On weekdays we have 2 shifts per day: AM (8:00 am - 11:30 am) and PM (12:00 pm - 3:30 pm). Saturdays we work one shift from 8:00am – 2:00pm.

Tasks: 

October 8-11: Framing and Trusses

October 15-18: Windows and doors, wrap house, framing finish

October 22-Nov 1 : Siding and soffit

December 4-6: Doors and trim 

December 11-20: Paint, interior shelving and hardware 

January 15-16: Punch and landscape prep 

January 17: Landscaping day 

Waivers: Please fill out the electronic waiver form. In addition, by signing up, volunteers agree to abide by the Habitat Code of Conduct. 

Age: Volunteers must be ages 16 and older except on Landscaping Day (14+)

What to Wear: Closed-toe, flat-soled shoes only (tennis shoes, work boots, etc.) Do not wear clothing or jewelry so loose it could easily get snagged on the build site. Wear clothing you do not mind getting dirty and dress for the weather. 

What to Bring: Water bottle, packed lunch if you are staying all day, and tools if you have them: gloves, hammer, measuring tape, nail pouch, pencil. If you do not have personal tools, you can still volunteer – we will have tools for you to use! Snacks and water/Gatorade will be provided for everyone.

Parking: Parking is on neighborhood streets.

Help greet golf tournament attendees, take their bag, and show them to their golf cart. 

Sell mulligans to golf tournament attendees as they arrive and check in.  You will also be able to drive a golfcart around the course to sell Mulligans during play. 

Help us greet attendees at the awards ceremony and after party for the Joe Barron Golf Tournament.

Help us clean up after the Joe Barron Golf Tournament.

Help watch the golf holes at the Joe Barron Golf Tournament to ensure a fair game for everyone! 

Help serve beverages at the beverage tent for the Joe Barron Golf Tournament. 

Help transport snacks and beverages around to the different holes at the Joe Barron Golf Tournament. 

Help us run the raffle table at the Joe Barron Golf Tournament 

Help register attendees at the Joe Barron Golf Tournament 

Help us place signs by the holes for the Joe Barron Golf Tournament.

Our families have done a lot of work to get to this point - over 200 hours of sweat equity that includes volunteering in the community, taking classes to prepare for homeownership, and working on their own house and other Habitat builds. We are excited for them and proud of their accomplishment and hope you will join us in the final step of this life changing process - the building of their new home!
