Volunteer: HYP Saturdays in Sturtevant

Our families have done a lot of work to get to this point - over 200 hours of sweat equity that includes volunteering in the community, taking classes to prepare for homeownership, and working on their own house and other Habitat builds. We are excited for them and proud of their accomplishment and hope you will join us in the final step of this life changing process - the building of their new home!

Mar 23: Roofing (Sturtevant)

April 13: ReStore (Wade Hampton Blvd.)

May 18: Brush of Kindness (Greer)

June 29: Siding (Sturtevant)

July 27: ReStore (Woodruff Rd)

Aug 24: Doors, Windows, Roof decking and other framing items! (Sturtevant)

Sept 7: Siding & Soffit (Sturtevant) 

Nov 16: Finish up interior and exterior at 123 Sturtevant

 

Waivers Please fill out the electronic waiver form.

Age: Volunteers must be ages 16 and older. 

What to Wear: Closed-toed, flat-soled shoes only (tennis shoes, work boots, etc) Do not wear clothing or jewelry that is so loose that it could easily get snagged on the build site. Wear clothing that you do not mind getting dirty and dress for the weather. 

What to Bring: Water bottle & tools if you have them: gloves, hammer, measuring tape, nail pouch, pencil. If you do not have personal tools you can still volunteer – we will have tools for you to use! Snacks and water/gatorade will be provided for everyone.
